an expensive ultrasonic cool mist humidifier? I already know to shower before bed but that doesn’t last all night. When I get the money I’m buying a good ultrasonic but that won’t be till after my christmas work bonus. What can I do as the heat is starting to have to be on now to add humidity?

I need a humidifier in my house because every morning when I wake the back of my throat is dry. I went online to get a price check and I found the 3 referenced humidifiers. I read the detail for each one and I couldn’t find a difference between the 3, except in the price (-, so $$$ wouldn’t be a factor in my decision). They all say they do the same things, and if that’s the case than why is there a need for an Ultrasonic, Cool Mist and Warm Mist humidifier? The brand of humidifier is Vick’s, and it is on cvs.com.

On a side note, I drink water, it might not be 8 glasses a day, but I come close. I know I drink enough water to not be dehydrated. This has only been happening recently and it only happens when I wake up.

My room is at 71-73° and 20-24% relative humidity. I'm curious how much the temperature will drop if I run a cool mist humidifier.
